I read this book by Frederick Douglass and he talked about 'liberating your mind.' He liberated his mind by getting an education. I realized, if I go to college and learn, then I'll be able to do anything I want.

LAUSD students in our coaching partnership schools increased their ELA Common Core scores by 16%.

Envision Learning Partners (ELP) works with progressive teachers and leaders to transform the educational experience for students across the country. We help schools and districts develop engaged, well-prepared learners and create vibrant college-going school cultures.

Latest News

This past February 2025, Envision Academy had a very special visit from Interim Oakland Mayor Kevin Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins, a truly connected and inspiring leader, shared words of encouragement, appreciation, and acknowledgement for the important and urgent work our teachers and staff do every day. He even issued a special Mayoral Proclamation honoring Envision Academy for being “a leader in educational excellence, dedicated to student-centered learning and equity in Oakland” and for “fostering a pro-Black, anti-racist environment where all students, particularly first generation college bound students, can thrive.” We are incredibly proud to celebrate this honor and recognition from our beloved city’s Interim Mayor.
