THE ENVISION TEACHER RESIDENCY
AT ALDER GRADUATE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

Slide "The Envision Residency program is really rigorous and gave us a lot of tools to be successful. This is a really safe place to grow and learn, where people value your opinions and include you as staff."

- Virgil Tang, 2020 Residency Graduate

Be someone's favorite teacher!

“The coaching I received through the Residency has been really helpful in making me a better teacher, and helping me see things in my teaching I wouldn’t notice otherwise.”

– Resident

“Prior to the Residency program, I had very little coaching on how to directly be a mentor to student teachers. This program has helped me look at my own coaching as an extension of my craft as an educator.”

– Mentor

The Envision Teacher Residency at Alder Graduate School of Education starts with a desire to empower kids, a fast track to a master’s degree and teaching certification, and a living stipend.

Next, you’ll start seeing your grad school theories come to life in the classroom, through hands-on learning at the side of a mentor teacher. Add in the camaraderie of working with a team committed to their students and their community, the experience becomes something more.

It becomes your chance to develop the skills you need to have the impact you want as part of a team you respect. This is your chance to become someone’s favorite teacher.

The Envision Teacher Residency program is the most effective way to turn your passion for supporting young people into a job you love.

In this proven successful program, you will:

  • Build the real-world skills you need to show up for your students on day one.
  • Work alongside an experienced classroom teacher in a high-quality, equity-focused school.
  • Earn your master’s degree and teaching certificate in just one year.
  • Get an inside track on working in a school committed to transforming the lives of its students.
