Hello Envision Academy Families, 

It brings me an immense amount of joy to serve as principal for Envision Academy of Arts and Technology. Over the last 25 years I have served students in Richmond, CA and Oakland, CA as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. I take great pride in being able to lead a school that is steeped in history and that has exhibited persistence and resilience through change.

One of my favorite quotes comes from a speech that Malcolm X gave on June 28, 1964 at the founding rally of the Organization of Afro-American Unity in Manhattan, New York, “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs only to the people who prepare for it today.” It is our collective belief that every Envisioner has access to and deserves an exceptional educational program that is rigorous, engaging, and reflects their unique cultural identity. We will support all of our scholars in their 6th-12th grade journey to the college and career of their choice.

Through strong data-informed instruction, school culture, and family engagement we are committed to the academic success of all of our students.
