Our determined teachers and students are always trying to go the extra mile! Teachers work to make more opportunities available, and students work to go on enrichment trips, take additional classes, and explore career fields. Take a look at the current campaigns from Envisioners, shown below, and please support them by giving and by sharing this page on social media. A little help goes a long way and your support will empower Envision students to achieve their dreams!
Chrome Books for Special Education
Learning Specialist Jessi Stein at Envision Academy in Oakland wants to give her special education students more educational access! “My students need really need access to chrome books in the Learning Center. Our students currently have access to chrome books in their classrooms. Having a charging station increases availability for use and security of computers.”
SEND KATHY TO MEDICAL CAMP!
Hi my name is Kathy, I always had the dream to become a doctor. The college I would like to go to is UC Davis for their very good medical program and the National Youth Leadership Forum is a big opportunity for me and my medical future.
SEND EMMA TO MEDICAL CAMP!
Hi my name is Emily and I want to become a nurse practitioner. The reason I want to become a nurse practitioner is because I have a brother who is currently 3 months old in the hospital and having to be there for him has been what has made me discover my passion for the hospital life. I don’t know what college I necessarily want to attend but I’m hoping to figure that out through participating in the National Youth Leadership Forum medical program.
SEND LAILA TO MEDICAL CAMP!
My name is Laila Hogan. For a very long time I’ve known I want to be a veterinarian. I’ve volunteered at the San Francisco Zoo for the past 4-5 years. My dream school is either UC Davis or Cornell. I would love to do the National Youth Leadership Forum medical program because it focuses on the field I want to eventually go into and it will be an amazing learning experience.
Art for Education’s Sake!
Founding teacher John Kittridge at Envision Academy in Oakland is raising money for digital media equipment: “My students are mostly inner-city low income students, many of whom are having their very first in-depth art experiences. They have the vision and the desire but they lack the resources to realize their artistic dreams. We draw kids from all over the city to a safe, neutral, space downtown to literally change their point of view. Through the arts we strive to then open their eyes to other ways of seeing and acting so that they can both notice their world as it really is as well as be agents of change within it.”
